Parish Lengthsman – readvertisement 10th November 2021 by Phil Striplin I’m sorry to say that we weren’t able to go ahead with offering a lengthsman contract advertising it earlier in the autumn. Unfortunately therefore we’re back in the position of having to re-advertise the post. The council will be considering applications received on or before Wednesday 24th November. Bids must be sent in a sealed envelope to the address on the application form. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, have experience of safety and hazard identification and also enjoy working outdoors. You will be expected to use your own vehicle and equipment and have public liability insurance. Duties include: Verge cutting Hedge and fence management Drainage Minor storm debris and litter Non-mains powered traffic signs maintenance You will be able to work flexibly for approximately 6-7 hours per week. We are seeking applications detailing experience, qualifications and a proposed hourly rate. Tender application forms and further information are available from the Parish Clerk, Phil Striplin on email clerk@cradleyparishcouncil.gov.uk or 07591 299749
I’ve really appreciated all of the people who have taken the time to see me at the village hall on Thursday afternoons. There hasn’t been any day when I’ve been left with no-one to talk to, and I hope it’s been useful to have another way to get in touch with the parish council. As you will know, we’re now being told that we should work from home where possible, and so I’ve decided that we should temporarily suspend the drop-ins until the guidance changes. Remember you can still get in touch by email (clerk@cradleyparishcouncil.gov.uk) or by phone – 07591 299749. Leave a message if I don’t pick up and I’ll get back to you. I really hope that normal service can be resumed as soon as possible, and in the meantime, can I wish you a very happy Christmas! Phil the Clerk Clerk's Drop-ins cancelled - for now More Details
